On Saturday May 4th, the Battle for I-80 is renewed when the sQUAD takes a trip to Des Moines to match up against the Iowa Barnstormers.
This game will be broadcasted on Caffine TV as well as the IFL YouTube channel. Kickoff will be at 7:05 pm.Â

About the Steamwheelers
The last outing for the Steamwheelers was a hardfought loss at home against the Tulsa Oilers. It was an intense, back and forth game that was chippy and saw players and coaches go at each other from start to finish. This game consisted of 12 lead changes going into the middle of the 4th quarter until the Oilers defense grabbed a late game interception. The momentum shifted in their favor from this point on and the Oilers took home win over the Steamwheelers, 65-59.
The sQUAD still put up numbers despite the tough loss at home,
Edward Vander racked up another 3 TD night along with 69 rushing yards.
Judd Erickson threw 2 TDs to
Jordan Vesey and
Keyvan Rudd, nabbing 2 rushing TDs of his own as well on the night.Â

About the Barnstormers
Iowa's last game was a loss to the Green Bay Blizzard, 40-33. The Blizzard led the way the entire game but the Barnstormers fought till the end. The Barnstormers were led by their Quarterback Kyle King who threw for 131 yards and for 2 touchdowns, along with running back Rob Washington who ran for 47 yards and racked up a TD in the process.

Offense
    Quian Willams -WR // IAB - Williams has been an offensive force for the Barnstormers at wide receiver, he's totaled over 250 receiving yards as well as 6 touchdowns. He has bagged two touchdowns in each of his last three games to help lead the offense, along with nabbing a rushing touchdown to add to his resume this season.
    Ka'Ron Ashley - WR // QCS - After getting off to a slow start in the beginning of the season, Ashley has been ramping up his production on the field with every chance he's been given. So far #0 has put up 91 receiving yards including one touchdown, on special teams Ashley has grabbed 112 yards to show how much of a threat he is with the football on the field.

Defense
    Ian McBurrough - LB // IAB  - McBurrough in his three games played with the Barnstormers so far has made an impact on the field with his defense. He has picked up seven total tackles so far, his last game being his most productive. McBurrough nabbed 4 total tackles with an assisted sack and assisted tackle for loss, showing he is someone to watch for in this match up.
    Bikembe Kearney - DB // QCS - Kearney a.k.a. "Hitstick", has made his presence felt in a massive way on the defensive end for the sQUAD in only two games so far. He's grabbed almost 20 total tackles so far including 6 total tackles in each game, a tackle for loss, and a pass break up. Kearney flies around the field to make stops wherever the ball is, look out for him to have a night on defense this Saturday night.
