Now let's give a preview to Saturday night's action.

About the Steamehwwlers

The sQUAD is coming off a tough loss against the Massachusetts Pirates. The Wheelers started off strong holding a 10-6 lead until the Pirates took over and held the lead and didn't let go until the final buzzer sounded off. This 52-35 loss dropped the Steamwheelers' record to 6-7 on the season.

About the Storm

Sioux Falls suffered a loss of their own in their last matchup, theirs at the hands of the Jacksonville Sharks. The Storm jumped ahead with a 14-7 lead at the end of the first quarter, then in the second quarter Jacksonville outscored Sioux Falls 20-7. The Sharks ended up taking the lead in the fourth quarter and held on for an eventual win over Sioux Falls.

The Last Time Out

The last time these two bulls locked horns the sQUAD walked away with the win, 56-49, It was a battle in Sioux Falls, SD when the Storm and the Steamwheelers went back and forth until the end when Edward Vander helped lift the Wheelers to an eventual win. Also in the game Jordan Vesey made an outlandish catch while falling over the barricade that landed number one on SportsCenter's SCTop10 that evening.

Players to Watch For

Offense

Jiya Wright - QB // SFS - Wright has been the most recent quarterback for the Storm, so far the Louisiana Monroe alum has produced well. In his last outing against the Sharks he picked up 146 passing yards, along with two passing touchdowns. On his own he bagged two rushing touchdowns on 33 rushing yards on the night as well.

Warren Newman III - WR // QCS - We've already previewed Newman a few weeks ago but since his debut he has been an underrated piece of the offense. He's scored touchdowns in three of his last four games with the sQUAD and has made big catches that have led to first downs and set up touchdown plays for the Wheelers offense. Keep your eyes peeled for number 3 to make an impact in more ways than one for the sQUAD.

Defense

Claude Davis - DL // SFS - The five year IFL vet has shown why he has been a staple in this league for so long and his last game against Jacksonville has been arguably his best performance this season. He picked up five total tackles with all of them being solo, two tackles for loss, two sacks, and a blocked kick as well for good measure.

Dreko Statham - DB // QCS - One of the newest members of the Steamwheelers, Statham has shown why he was signed and his value to the sQUAD's defense. Against Massachusetts he picked up five total tackles as well as being a hawk on defense and made sure opposing offenses dared not to throw the ball his way. Watch out for Statham to hit big and make every stop he possibly can on defense.
