Wes Baskovic has over 25 years of coaching experience throughout Illinois and Iowa.  Coach Wes returns in 2025 for his 6th season with the Steamwheelers as the Offensive & Defensive Line Coach. In 2019, he was hired as a defensive coaching intern providing quality control and data analytics. His work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to the teams success very quickly earned the trust of Coach Ross at which time he was promoted to the Defensive Line Coach for 2020 the season. 

In 2021, due to COVID, the Steamwheelers suspended operations. That year, he followed  Coach Ross to Bismarck and served as the Bucks Quality Control Coach specializing in data analytics for game-planning, contributing to the Bucks first ever IFL playoff appearance in franchise history. In 2022, he returned to the Quad Cities as the team's Defensive Line Coach and Run Game Coordinator contributing to an Eastern conference championship and United Bowl appearance. 

Throughout his 6 seasons in IFL, Coach Wes has helped develop several all-league players including offensive line, defensive line and linebackers. Since 2021, Coach Wes has also coached at Augustana College where he currently works with the interior defensive lineman. He has also coached the offensive line and tight ends. Coach Wes played football collegiately as a tight end and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Saint Ambrose University in 1998. He and his wife Maria have been married for 23 years and have two children.
